Iris Idaly Joya Palomera, IFTA’s 2025 Rotary Club Sur Becas Scholarship Program Student, receives tuition check from International Firefighters Training Association. Iris is interested in art and science and is hoping to attend Artes Dicenografico when she completes preparatoria.

IFTA Donates over 1,000 new “Baywatch” style swimsuits

The International Firefighters Training Association donated over 1,000 new male and female swimsuits to the City of Puerto Vallarta. The swimsuits were donated to orphanages, low-income children, adults, volunteer lifeguards and firefighters.
Special thanks to the Santa Barbara – Puerto Vallarta Sister City Committee for the administration, shipping, and donation coordination.

The IFTA sponsored Puerto Vallarta softball team. They just received their new uniforms in time for the start of the new season.
In addition, IFTA supported the “Team Vallarta” women’s softball team with much needed donations of softball equipment.

The International Firefighters Training Association answers a call for help in Puerto Vallarta due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has brought the thriving Puerto Vallarta’s tourist economy to a halt. Many people relied on tourism jobs for their livelihood.

The compromised Volcanes community is in the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta, and once the pandemic hit, it became apparent that families in this community needed help to feed their loved ones. With the assistance of Art Fumerton, an IFTA friend and member of Puerto Vallarta Rotary SUR, the “Volcanes Food Bank” was started to assist the residents of Los Volcanes.

The IFTA is proud to be able to help and donate, making it possible, for 25 families of four to have meals for a month.
