On February 6, 2021, the International Firefighters Training Association participated in the Sister Cities International Southern California Chapter, California Youth Leadership Summit.
Over 100 countries throughout the world participated.

The Youth Leadership Summit was hosted by former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez, Pro Surfer Kanoa Igarashi, City of Los Angeles Deputy Mayor of International Affairs Ambassador Nina Hachigian, Guinness World Record Holder Mountain Climber Marin Minamiya and TV host Jaimi Alexander.
